Ronnie D. Boone brings to his customers unique strengths, experience, skills and a perspective that goes
beyond the typical insurance agent who has been in the industry for 25 years.
Beyond his 10 years experience
as an independent insurance agent and owner of Boone High Country insurance, Ronnie brings 15 years experience
as a Sr. Claims Adjustor - which means he's very much aware of what the claims process entails and how a
claims adjustor thinks, and he can assist you in moving through the claims process with confidence.
|
| He can help you plan to ensure that you maximize your claims benefits to the greatest degree and that you
pay for only the benefits that meet your need. |
Next, Ronnie brings 10 years of working within the legal system both in the court system and on the street as a police officer. In addition his formal educational background is in law, so he tends to think in terms of legality, safety and security. When it comes to Long Term Care (LTC), he's been a caregiver to his mother in her last years, and through his personal experience recognizes the impact this role has on the family and loved ones of the individual who is in need of long term care . . . how it can change the role of the family member, how it can wear the family down creating greater stress, how it can eat away at personal savings.
Ronnie is committed to continuing education and looking for ways of giving you greater value and how to be of greatest assistance to you. He can give you greater insight into planning for the 'Ifs' and the 'whys' of retirement because he's a Certified Senior Advisor (CSA) through the Society of Certified Senior Advisors and he is certified through the Corporation for Long Term Care (CLTC) as an LTC Specialist. With this training, Ronnie brings a broad range of expertise and information on understanding the whole picture of senior living: health, social, and economic. He can offer guidance to families on a range of issues including home care, assisted living, nursing homes, social services, taxes, law, and most important: what will pay for these resources. As an LTC specialist he helps to solve your long-term care needs.
For example, Ronnie can discuss with you the features, benefits and funding sources of life insurance-based LTC, annuity-based LTC options for the "self-funded" and the under-insured, and strategies for the uninsurable client, as well as options for clients already receiving LTC. In addition, Ronnie has gone through extensive training with Government Benefits Analyst and brings his expertise in assisting many seniors, Veterans and their widows in qualifying and applying for tax-free government benefits that can increase your income and reduce your taxes. As a member of the Independent Insurance Agents of North Carolina, Boone High Country Insurance is backed by a vast knowledge base of insurance, especially for NC and all it's resources.
When asked, "why are you an insurance agent?" he said that as an officer of the court, he was reacting to what had already happened, but as a senior claims adjustor for the more difficult and complex cases, he was closing the gate and cleaning up. The insurance agent has the greatest impact because it is a role of planning, a role that's proactive. "I have the training and expertise to assist you in creating a custom fit plan that frees you to live life to its fullest. In order to facilitate that vision, the 'Ifs' need to be removed as much as possible from life. And whether that would be insurance to help one sail through life with as few interruptions as possible, or as a means of maintaining a style of life in the face of life-threatening situations, our goal is to free you and your loved ones of unnecessary worry as much as possible, giving you greater peace of mind and helping you plan to live."
"For example, long term care in this era is becoming a necessity. All statistics and information show that each generation is living longer; therefore, preparation needs to be made for a long life. And if, just if, you were to have something happen that would side track your retirement planning, something that would affect your family and your portfolio - wouldn't you want to insure for that? IF you would need long term care? Whether you planned or not, of course you would be taken care of, no matter what& but at what cost? What about your family and portfolio? Without insurance, what is the likelihood that your family will be worn down and your portfolio spent down by the heavy burden of an illness or frailness that persisted for some time? Wouldn't you want to remove the 'IF?' That's what Boone High Country Insurance does: "We help you plan for the 'IFs' in life so you and your family are free to live life to its fullest."
As family man, father, grandfather, former football player, swimmer, triathlon athlete, spiritual leader, business owner, board member who was born and raised in Mitchell County, Ronnie consistently looks to give back with a special emphasis on children, (the next generation,) family and community. He is a member of the Mitchell County Chamber of Commerce, and the Spruce Pine Main Street organizations and was a former member of M-A-Y Leadership Program. These organizations are focused on planning, promoting and stimulating economic growth in the area.
Combining his two loves, children and swimming, he's a teacher in a program called "Swim First for Mitchell County." As he teaches 1st graders how to swim, he also nurtures self-confidence, instills safety first, and creates a positive learning experience showing that learning can be fun. As an active member of the Rotary International Club, Ronnie encourages the community to support children in being the best they can be through higher education, creating opportunities for clean entertainment, and building housing for families. He believes strongly in Rotary's motto: "He profits most who serves best."
Again, combining his love of children, family and community and his thirst for spirituality, Ronnie was a former Deacon of the Emory Presbyterian Church of Atlanta, and is an active spiritual leader in First Baptist Church of Spruce Pine. Ronnie works with the youth group and is active in the adult Sunday school class that focuses on giving back to those in need. Another of his passions in which he is actively involved that combine these loves is Forgiven Ministry, a program sharing the love of Jesus and the power of forgiveness to prison inmates and their families - healing and restoring relationships and reducing the likelihood of recidivism or the likelihood of children becoming offenders. He's also a member of the Order of St Luke, a healing ministry that is bringing the Power of Christ into affect, focusing the power and energy of God to move into those on the church s prayer list. "I have found that the best way to walk through life is by faith. When I am open and let God guide me to what His will is in my life, rather than to only do what I think is right, I live by faith rather than by law"...and for Ronnie, that's the key to living life to the fullest.
